Influential Employees Honored At Women in Software Awards 2024

We are delighted to announce Aishwarya Gurung, Infrastructure Operations Engineer at Content Guru, was recognized at the “ChangeMakers” 2024 Makers Women in Software Awards. The ChangeMakers List celebrates allyship and the responsibility of the wider tech community to drive change. Athullya Roy, Support Engineer, was also shortlisted for the PowerList awards, which recognizes rising stars in the tech industry.

Aishwarya commented: “I'm incredibly honored to receive the award. It means so much to me, not just as a recognition of my work, but as a reflection of the amazing mentors and colleagues, especially my manager who has guided me throughout my journey. The guidance and mentorship received have helped me navigate challenges and embrace new opportunities in this fast-paced industry. It's crucial to recognize mentors and supportive managers, as they nurture talent and create a more inclusive future for tech.”

The Women in Software Awards Gala was held at the Barbican Conservatory on the 19th of September, where industry-leading speakers were invited to discuss some of the topics that affect women looking to pivot their careers into the tech sector. Speakers included Laura Gilbert CBE, Director of Data Science at Number 10, Jennifer Marks, Head of Digital Sustainability at Government Digital Service and Alice Jacques, Director of Machine Learning at Depop.
