Content Guru has been recognised as one of the Thames Valley’s top companies after being highly commended in both the ‘Business of the Year’ and ‘Dynamic Business of the Year’ categories at the 2015 Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards (TVBMAs).
The annual event took place on 19th November at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre within Reading’s Madjeski stadium, bringing together hundreds of professionals in celebration of the region’s most successful, innovative and dynamic companies.
Home to over 870,000 people and 42,000 businesses, the Thames Valley has the highest performing local economy outside of London. With an economic output (measured in terms of Gross Value Added) of over £30 billion that is predicted to rise to £32.4 billion by 2020, the fast-growing region attracts an abundance of global brands and multinational blue-chip organisations, and is renowned for being a fundamental UK economic powerhouse.
The evening’s proceedings were kicked off by BAFTA award-winning journalist, Huw Edwards, who took to the stage as this year’s inspirational guest speaker. The well-known BBC news reader shared his broadcasting career highlights, whilst also providing an insight into how the digital age is transforming the distribution and consumption of news across the globe with people now expecting to have breaking news stories at their fingertips within seconds.
