Supporting community causes beyond the local area is a key part of the Content Guru culture, which is why we’re proud to support Lions, whose humanitarian efforts, volunteering programmes, and charity projects, both local and international, change the lives of people around the globe.
Barnardo’s is the leading children’s charity in the UK, helping hundreds of thousands of children, parents and carers each year. They care for vulnerable young people through everything from foster care to mental health issues. We are proud to support the charity through a Christmas Giving Tree in our offices, where baubles are swapped for items vital to Barnardo’s projects, such as kettles and blankets.
The Charity Staff Foundation stages the annual, national Charity Staff & Volunteer Awards. Charity workers nominate their colleagues who go the extra mile for charity. This is done alongside helping young people access rewarding and sustainable careers.
Coram Life Education Centres
As the UK’s leading health, well-being, relationships and drugs education provider, Coram Life Education helps trained educators to deliver creative and interactive lessons. This is more than just a PSHE scheme, it is the foundation of teaching in 1 in 10 English and Scottish primary schools.
Redwood Technologies Group are proud to support Debra, a charity that funds research and healthcare to support individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa- a painful genetic skin blistering condition which can be fatal.
Through donations, fund-raising and fun-runs, Content Guru supports Kika, a charity doing valuable research into all forms of childhood cancer. Kika raises funds for innovative research aimed at lessening the pain of childhood cancer, increasing the number of children cured.
Macmillan Cancer Support provide physical, financial and emotional support to help those with cancer live life as fully as possible. The Redwood Technology Group is proud to support a charity that inspires and fundraises for those affected by cancer.
The Macular Society is working tirelessly to understand macular disease, whilst also running local support groups and providing information and advice on how to look after your eyes and support loved ones coping with the disease.
Save the Children works to change the lives of children and help them grow up healthy and safe with access to an education, and their Christmas Jumper Day forms a key part of their work. Content Guru is proud to be a supporter.
The Redwood Technologies Group has sponsored the Soldiering On Awards since March 2017 and continues to do so in 2020. The Awards recognize the outstanding achievements of those who have served their country, encouraging support for this diverse and remarkable community.
Content Guru supports Starlight, a charity brightening the lives of seriously ill children by granting wishes-of-a-lifetime. Starlight provide fun, laughter and entertainment for sick children across the UK.
We support the Stroke Association through helping with events such as the Bracknell Thursday Stroke Club, a social club for stroke survivors and their carers. The Club has a friendly atmosphere with outings, live performances, quizzes and games, offering long-term support, information and advice.
The Fire Fighters Charity understands the mental, physical and social burdens that can come from being involved in the UK’s fire services community. The Redwood Technologies Group supports this charity that rescues the rescuers when they need it most.
X-Forces is the leading organisation in the UK for enterprise in the military community, providing a range of training courses, funding and events to help the military community with self-employment or business ownership. Redwood Technologies is pleased to support this charity.
Zilverlijn (Silver Line) is a Dutch charity for all elderly people who like to chat on the phone. A network of volunteers arranges short phone calls providing a pleasant chat, listening ear or good conversation. As a global company, The Redwood Technologies Group is proud to support Zilverlijn.
The Arctic One Foundation believes that sport should be accessible to all. Their Junior paratriathlon is the only event in the UK exclusively for children with any disability. The Redwood Technologies Group is proud to support Arctic One.
The BCF is a charitable organisation that brings members of the county’s community into contact with the local initiatives. In 2020, the BCF managed the local distribution of NET (National Emergencies Trust), which has been the main fundraiser to support people and organizations during the coronavirus pandemic.
With Community as its central value, Binfield Primary School is dedicated to serving the local community and providing a great education to children in Binfield village. We are proud to support this primary school which has a huge range of links to the local community.
Bracknell and Wokingham College serves to give young people in the local area a great start to their careers. Content Guru helps assist this not only in monetary donation, but by offering internships to students.
Bracknell Athletics Club has developed athletes across track and field events ranging from County level to Olympic competitors. The Redwood Technologies Group sees huge importance in helping to develop the youth of the local area to achieve great personal performances.
Content Guru’s global headquarters is located within Bracknell and a large emphasis is placed on the need to help the developing local environment. Berkshire acts as the UK’s ‘Silicon Valley’ and Bracknell provides a huge part of that with a large portion of the local businesses having a firm technology basis.
We are long-term supporters of Bracknell Forest Voluntary Action and are proud to have been the main sponsors of the Bracknell Half Marathon. In 2014, the charity changed their name to Involve, who support and empower local charities and community groups, which the Redwood Technologies Group still supports today.

The Bracknell Nepalese Society helps to represent the growing Nepali community in the local area.

Connecting Communities in Berkshire is a charity with over 45 years of experience in community development work. They provide information, advice and support to individuals and organisations – enabling them to raise money locally and nationally for projects that matter.
Helping people resolve legal and financial problems by providing free and confidential advice, Citizen’s Advice acts as a front-line service for those in the greatest need. We support the charity in their work helping individuals and lobbying for change in policies and services.
Providing multi-sensory creative arts workshops with 20 years of experience, InnerSense is a charity focused on disability and the arts. The charity offers workshops for people with a wide range of learning disabilities, providing the chance to explore whole new imaginative worlds.
Involve carries on the work from its establishment as Bracknell Forest Voluntary Action. The Redwood Technology Group currently supports them in their work supporting and empowering local charities and community groups.
A six acre site situated between Bracknell and Maidenhead, Jealotts Hill Community Landshare is used and enjoyed by the local community for a range of horticultural activities. Gardening has the power to positively change lives and the Landshare works by sharing produce and promoting environmental awareness.

Pilgrim Hearts Trust runs the Bracknell Night Shelter, which provides a safe place to rest for four months every winter. The Night Shelter offers hot drinks, hot meals, warm clothes and a listening ear, helping homeless people in the Wokingham and Bracknell area.

SAFE! supports 8-25 year olds in the Thames Valley area who have been hurt by crime. Everyone has the right to feel safe in their local community, and the charity helps young people get their confidence back if they have been a victim of crime, bullying, abuse or assault.
Counselling aims to help people to lead richer, more fulfilling lives, by providing support, discussion and exploration into the thoughts and feelings that lie behind distress. Entirely confidential, the service is run by trained professionals and is subsidised by donations and fundraising.
We work with the Slough Council for Voluntary Service, which exists to improve the quality of life and make a difference to people in the local community. Since 2015, the Service has worked together to provide activities and services for local residents.
The South Hill Park is the true creative heart of Berkshire, working with the local community to offer festivals, fairs and an eclectic mix of entertainment. The Trust aims to keep the Arts available and affordable to all, and relies on its network of passionate volunteers.
Accredited with the National Association of Child Contact Centres, St. Paul’s Bracknell is a safe place for children to meet with parents with whom they no longer live after a relationship breakdown. We are proud to support his community initiative run by a network of over 4,000 volunteers.
The 1st Sunngingdale Scouts Group was founded in 1910 and run continually since then, remaining one of the oldest groups in the UK. Content Guru help to support this group which offers activities and group experiences for the youth of the local area.
Swallowfield Community Responders are part of the South Central Ambulance Charity Trust and respond to life-threatening emergencies in the local area. They have a trained over 800 people in life-saving procedures to date, and we are proud to have sponsored their Community Responder ambulance.
Providing expert care for people living with life-limiting illnesses, Thames Hospice offers therapy, nursing and medical care as well as practical and emotional support for patients and their loved ones. In 2019 we are proud to say that we made a donation towards the building of new hospice facilities.
Thames Valley Police are the force working tirelessly to protect and serve Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. We are proud to support the officers committed to working together to make our communities safer.
The Wayz, based in Berkshire, is a safe place for young people to engage in new activities, projects and opportunities. The charity was recognised by the 2018 Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, and we proudly support the initiative through our work with the Berkshire Community Foundation.
The Trussel Trust are working to end hunger and poverty in the UK. Last year, we supported a food bank aiming to provide nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people in crisis. Between April 2018 and March 2019, Trussel Trust provided a record 1.6 million food supplies to people in need.
Wokingham Borough Council are dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of the community, providing a range of service from schools and education to care, health and parking. We are proud to have supported the Council in sponsoring the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations.

Wooden Hill Primary & Nursery School
The Redwood Technologies Group supports The Wooden Hill Primary and Nursery School in South Bracknell. The school’s principle aim is to create a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment where every child can achieve their full potential and grow in confidence.
Last year, we were proud sponsors of the Yateley FC Under 12s Team, which promotes fairness, teamwork and the spirit of the game. Yateley FC is a club with a long history, working to provide opportunities to directly aid the health and wellness of the community. This is done through community gigs and organising sports for elderly and disabled people on their grounds.
Youthline has been supporting young people in the Bracknell Forest area since 1988, and provides a free, confidential counselling service managed by professional staff and a team of Trustees. Youthline relies on donations and fundraising, and we are proud to be a sponsor them in their work.
