Leader in cloud communications, Content Guru, has been shortlisted for Business Hero at the Thames Valley Hero Awards 2020.
Content Guru has been recognized for its work to help large organizations cope with new pressures due to COVID-19. The company’s storm cloud solution enabled NHS 111 London to scale automatically to cope with several hundred percent of pre-outbreak call volumes from patients concerned they had symptoms of coronavirus. Content Guru also set up several large healthcare call centers from scratch, in just days, to help cope with the pandemic.
Alongside this, Content Guru developed a brand new application, storm On Demand Video Consultation (ODVC), in response to a request from Herts Urgent Care (HUC) to be able to offer ad-hoc video consultations in the urgent care environment. This cutting edge technology has helped HUC reduce the amount of face-to-face consultations needed, thereby protecting patients and staff from contracting coronavirus.
The Thames Valley Hero Awards are a response to the COVID-19 pandemic with which the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC) is seeking to recognize and celebrate the inspiring, inventive and community spirit of local businesses and their employees throughout the Thames Valley.
Martin Taylor, Deputy CEO at Content Guru, commented: “Community, and the fostering of community spirit, is at the heart of Content Guru’s ethos. As such, we are delighted to be shortlisted for the Thames Valley Hero Awards. We work with a range of organizations in the Healthcare sector, and are proud of the work we have done to help them cope with the new challenges posed by the pandemic.”
