Awards were presented across a broad range of categories, from the Best Use of Technology to the Green Progress Award. On hand to present the awards was Hillary Devey of BBC’s Dragon’s Den, who also delivered a speech on the challenges she faced in building a successful business. The other celebrity speaker on the night was Sky News anchor, Martin Stanford, who spoke on his long and exciting career in journalism, stretching from the death of Princess Diana, to the Japanese Tsunami of 2011.

“We are pleased to have been highly commended in the Business of the Year category but disappointed not to come away as the winner,” commented Sean Taylor, Director of Content Guru. “The Thames Valley area is an important hub of industry within Europe, comparable in stature to the Silicon Valley in the USA. It’s the quality of our people that makes our business successful, and being based in the Thames Valley has allowed us to attract the right calibre of workforce, as well as providing us with the ideal location from which to expand globally. We'll have another go at getting the top prize next year!”
