On 16th October 2014, Content Guru triumphed over stiff competition to be recognised as the ‘Best Enterprise Vertical Market Solution’ at the 2014 Comms National Awards Ceremony. A Content Guru delegation, including Director Martin Taylor and Dutch Country Manager Michael van den Brink, joined thousands of the communications industry leaders for a gala awards dinner at the Park Lane Hilton, London.

The Comms National Awards, organised by Comms Dealer Magazine, celebrate excellence throughout the field of communications, and encompass both vendors and resellers. The awards were presented across 25 categories by Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News For You regular, Marcus Brigstocke. Categories ranged from Best SME Hosted Solution to Overall Reseller of the Year, with Content Guru also sponsoring both of the evening’s ‘Network’ category awards.

A distinguished judging panel of telecoms veterans and CEOs selected Content Guru’s utilities proposition, storm® LOSS, as the best-in-category solution, with the entry covering the storm LOSS deployment for major Distribution Network Operator (DNO) Scottish Power. LOSS acts as a mass-scale cloud buffer to Scottish Power’s contact centre, enabling lossless and consistent customer service even when contact volumes surge to enormous levels during service disruptions. The solution includes advanced self-service capabilities and secure integration with Scottish Power’s back-end systems, including the electricity monitoring tool, ENMAC.

Martin Taylor, Director of Content Guru, commented;
“We are thrilled to have won this prestigious award, which fittingly capped off a fantastic evening for the Content Guru team. Congratulations go to the other four shortlisted finalists, all of them putting forward excellent enterprise solutions, and to the winners of the other categories on the night. We will definitely look forward to returning next year!”
