Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Content Guru is looking for a creative, highly-motivated and organized Marketing Executive to spearhead North American marketing activities from the company’s regional US headquarters in Campbell, CA. The company is expanding rapidly in multiple international markets, with the US team tasked with helping achieve ambitious global growth targets.

The ideal candidate will bring relevant industry and business-to-business experience, alongside a solid working knowledge of effective US marketing strategies. They will adapt the global corporate brand and messaging to the nuances of the North American market in order to rapidly expand our presence throughout the US.

In co-ordination with Corporate Marketing, the Marketing Executive will deliver creative and distinctive campaigns that lead to greater brand awareness, create a solid lead generation pipeline for the Sales team, and ensure that the company proactively pushes a thought leadership agenda across the US market.

Content Guru has met with widespread success in the contact center and technology industries in Western Europe, most notably in recognition by Gartner as the leading Challenger in the regional Cloud Contact Center space, and in receipt of the highest possible accolades for business and IT in the UK. As the driver of brand awareness in the US, the successful candidate will be tasked with the challenge of building on and surmounting these achievements and establishing the company as an indisputable leader in its field.

The Marketing Executive will have the responsibility for helping the company meet and exceed its ambitious targets in a highly-competitive industry. This will involve:

  • Campaign management: Delivering a range of compelling marketing campaigns to target a wide range desired demographics across multiple verticals worldwide; taking overall ownership of end-to-end campaigns resulting in tangible sales leads.
  • Collateral production: The successful applicant will demonstrate a refined ability in planning, organizing and producing creative and persuasive writing and a strong understanding of the relationship between design and copy, assuming a responsibility over effective and strategic development of new approaches to engage with the wider market, including the production of materials and literature. The Marketing Executive would also act as the primary contact for any requests for US case studies or customer stories that will help build our overall credibility in this new and growing market.
  • Internal and external activities: The candidate will also take a hands-on approach to events such as exhibitions, comprising both organization and participation. The candidate will also be required to liaise directly with a variety of departments within the organization and also interact with clients and key international partners to co-ordinate joint marketing activities and to generate effective content such as customer case studies. He or she should therefore possess solid interpersonal skills and be dynamic and proactive in all external and internal activities.

The Marketing Executive must be able to develop a solid technical knowledge of the company’s products and platform, and demonstrate the ability to condense complex technological concepts into comprehensible English. They must also be able to articulate these benefits and capabilities across a wide variety of media.

The Marketing Executive will report to the CMO, who has overall responsibility for Sales and Marketing, and will also liaise closely with Corporate Marketing in the UK.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, deliver and co-ordinate clear internal and external communications to communicate and enhance the company’s brand image and encourage lead generation opportunities
  • Implement innovative and creative marketing campaigns to support activities across international marketplaces, establishing the brand in new markets while solidifying its presence in existing areas
  • Become responsible for a rapidly-growing brand image and work as part of a young, dynamic team in order to compete with major, established organizations within the industry on a global scale
  • Take ownership of a range of key collateral from internal bulletins, marketing brochures, customer case studies, video material and website updates and co-ordinate production, management and distribution of new marketing material and literature
  • Become both a dynamic and reliable member of a fast-paced team and help to continue the rapid expansion of the business through proactive engagement with a range of key stakeholders, from partners through to clients and internal colleagues
  • Ensure the continued development of Content Guru’s US digital marketing presence, including management and updating of customer-facing websites through to deploying Twitter and LinkedIn strategies
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry developments as well as company innovations in order to inform thought leadership materials and strengthen general Marketing collateral
  • Organize events, networking opportunities, campaigns and award entries, ensuring that the company is appropriately represented within the industry
  • Support the Sales department with a range of targeted collateral, campaigns and presentations, in order to maximize Sales opportunities and aid the company’s growth
  • Be involved with weekly strategic meetings in order to help define and action key Marketing activities
  • Be able to confidently build positive relationships both internally and externally, helping to support partner activities and working with clients on a range of endeavors

Experience and Skills

  • Have strong educational background with a GPA of 3.4 or above
  • Must have the relevant documentation to work in the US on a permanent basis
  • Must be able to pass a basic security check
