Content Guru has achieved ISO/IEC 27001 accreditation, the international best practice standard for an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

ISO 27001 certification recognises Content Guru’s rigorous, organisation-wide data and physical security arrangements. These in turn underpin the company’s operation of sensitive commercial, financial and government communications on behalf of its worldwide client base.

The mark builds on Content Guru’s ISO 9001 quality accreditation, which was granted in 2011, and is a key standard in ensuring consumer confidence around online data security.

“ISO 27001 is a rigorous, process-based approach for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving Information Security Management,” said Matthew Chadd, Security Manager, Content Guru. “The standard is a vital benchmark accreditation for cloud service providers as it provides independent assurance that customer information is being protected.”

Commenting on the award, Martin Taylor, Director of Content Guru, said, “We are proud to have received the highest international standard for information security. Content Guru’s recognition reflects years of hard work and the decades of expertise of our technical architects and operational staff.”

“Alongside our recent Level 1 PCI Compliance award, the ISO27001 standard comprehensively establishes our data security credentials and validates the trust placed in our cloud services, which deliver mission-critical operations for companies in a range of verticals, as well the public sector. Both standards are essential for identification & verification and payment processing solutions, where companies must safeguard the integrity of customer or citizen data.”
