Bracknell, 10th May 2013: Content Guru is proud to announce the company’s inauguration of a new academic prize at one of the world’s leading research universities, King’s College London.

The annual ‘Content Guru Prize for Best Performance in Strategic Management’ will reward the work of a single high-achieving student in the College’s Department of Management.

The prize is to be awarded to the student who achieves the best performance in the final-year Strategic Management module of the BSc (Hons) Business Management degree. The recipient of the very first award is due to be announced at the King’s graduation ceremony in July this year, with the prize to be formally conferred at a separate Department of Management prize-giving ceremony in October.

Every year, the annual prize-giving ceremony will see the winner presented with a trophy, engraved with the College crest, in addition to a solid silver medal inscribed with the recipient’s name. Each prize winner will also be rewarded for their hard work by a generous grant of £1000, funded from Content Guru’s contributions to the College.

Content Guru is to be joined in its support of King’s College London by sister company, Redwood Technologies, with Redwood donations to be used to establish a further award: ‘The Redwood Technologies Prize for Best Performance in the MSc Telecommunications and Internet Technology’, recognising outstanding postgraduate students from the College’s Institute of Telecommunications.

“We would like to extend our thanks to Content Guru for their support in establishing this important new award,” said Professor Stephen Deery, Head of the Department of Management at King’s College London. “We have many outstanding students here at King’s and the Content Guru prize will allow us to single out one of our highest achievers each year, rewarding them for their hard work and flair and granting them the recognition they deserve as they embark on their postgraduate studies or outside careers.”

“We are delighted to be able to support King’s College London and the Department of Management with the foundation of the Content Guru award,” said Martin Taylor, Content Guru Director. “For the global economy to thrive, it is vital for business to play its part in supporting rigorous academic courses that stretch our brightest young minds and give them the skills they need to become corporate leaders and entrepreneurs. We look forward to seeing a whole generation of Content Guru prize-winners go out and make their mark on the world.”
