Content Guru's sister company Redwood Technologies has donated £10,000 to the Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) to support local charitable causes. This has been matched by 50% under the Community First programme making the total donation value £15,000.

Formed in 1985, BCF provides funding to voluntary groups throughout Berkshire in particular focusing on vulnerable people including the elderly, children, and people with chronic illnesses. Content Guru and Redwood have been based in Berkshire since their foundation and hav worked with BCF for the past 5 years. This latest presentation increases the size of the Redwood Technologies Fund (including previous donations) to £92,000.

Andrew Middleton, CEO of BCF, remarked on the relationship with Redwood, “As a charity focused exclusively on local causes, we rely heavily on donations from businesses and individuals who are based within the Berkshire community. We are very grateful to Redwood for their ongoing support, particularly as they’ve consistently provided us with funding in a difficult economic climate.”

As part of its commitment to the BCF Sean Taylor, Managing Director of Content Guru and Redwood Technologies, sits on its Governance Committee and in June was made a Trustee. Taylor commented, “I feel that many businesses today are too disconnected from their local environments. Many of the businesses in the Thames Valley (including ours) are service-focused with the IT sector being a good example of where we excel. Services companies are all about their people and a critical part of making sure that people are happy is ensuring the local environment is a good one. That’s one of the things that has attracted me to BCF, that it makes our local communities a better place to live in. We’re pleased to be able to help them with their good work.”
